The Basic Income Party defines basic income as:
a regular individual payment without work conditions, high enough to be able to sustain a decent living standard.
Basic income should in theory be universal, ie distributed to all. A realistic and good system for Sweden would be to pay basic income in the form of negative income tax, with different breakpoints. Read here for a more detailed explanation.
